Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks provides one-to-one mentoring to the children and youth in our community. We believe every child should reach his/her potential.

Our agency's mission is to protect the potential of every child. We do this through three programs: Traditional Community Based Mentoring; Lunch Buddies; and our Mentor 101 program within OTC Middle College. Our current board is filled with strong, influential leaders in our community who are advocates to our agency.

As a board member we are looking for ambassadors to the work we do. We ask that you constantly look for volunteer recruitment opportunities within the community. We consistently have kids on our wait list who need a Big, sometimes for over a year. We need energetic and passionate leaders who understand the critical need for this wait list to be shrunk or not exist.

Everyday the kids in our community live each day without enough people in their lives who are a kind, positive role model. Some may have no one. As a board member, you join our mission to make sure those kids find that match that will change their world for the better forever.

Requirements: We ask that all Board Members reach a 6,500 point goal toward their Annual Board Member Plan. These points are raised through fundraising, gifts and recruitment opportunities.

Meeting times: The Board meets monthly, with the exception of June and December. Meetings are typically the last Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m.

How to Apply: Please contact Ashley French directly at afrench@bigbro.com to receive the full application.

**Please let us know if you submit an application and/or get appointed to this board.
