Senior Citizen's Service Fund Board (Greene County)
In April 2005, Greene County voters approved a levy tax of $0.05 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation in order to provide services to persons aged 60 and older in the county. In June 2005, Greene County Commissioners established a Board of Directors of the Senior Citizens’ Services Fund Board, consisting of seven directors who each serve four year terms. The Senior Citizen’s Service Fund Board assists Greene County senior citizens to remain in their homes for as long as they can safely do so and to “provide programs which will improve the health, nutrition, and quality of life of persons who are sixty years of age or older.” (Section 67.993, RS MO).
The Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
